I remember a family member - female - who had to have a "perfect" tree (we all kidded her, but it was truly perfect) so I brought my niece and nephew a four foot tree one year and spent the day making ornaments (paper chains, cut out stars, strung popcorn). We put the tree in their playroom and had a ball with it. After that, they were allowed to do that every year so mom and kids all got what they wanted.Dianna Lovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07436951352975780985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18101458.post-6556407519169409552008-12-23T20:03:00.000-06:002008-12-23T20:03:00.000-06:00What is this with Christmas trees and cats? Since married, I've never had a live tree because we've always had cats and I remember what Snoopy did.

But I'm a Christmas tree traditionalist. We have ornaments from my childhood, my husband's and my children's. We also have antique ornaments. The only reason I'd put up a tree is to use them!Diane Gastonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14770373530197339170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18101458.post-30714064272428851142008-12-23T16:13:00.000-06:002008-12-23T16:13:00.000-06:00What a great story, Delle! That little story was a portent of things to come and I am sure Lucifer is sitting up there somewhere smiling at his handiwork, not the tree, but the writer!

Hmm. I may have to do a lavender Christmas tree next year.Louisa Cornellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12971924594129471055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18101458.post-90318507518962894082008-12-23T15:52:00.000-06:002008-12-23T15:52:00.000-06:00Fun story, Delle. I have to admit I like different and distinctive Christmas trees, so I think I would have liked the pink tree.Trish Milburnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08812010789617982102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18101458.post-6884819297059780292008-12-23T15:45:00.000-06:002008-12-23T15:45:00.000-06:00Dogs are fabulous, but there is nothing like a cat...Dogs are fabulous, but there is nothing like a cat for mind-boggling creativity and intelligence. Not to mention a total disregard for anyone's opinion.

Thanks for sharing. :)Gillian Laynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15772849187702478349noreply@blogger.com
